Review of Bulova Accutron Kirkwood Dive Watch

!±8± Review of Bulova Accutron Kirkwood Dive Watch

Bulova is under the wing of the famous Citizen Group, and the Accutron is a sub-brand of the Bulova. And that is why you can see the "Bulova Accutron" on the watch dials. Japanese have a custom of the branding, and then sub-branding, which may confuse American and European who have different tradition in branding. Well, Accutron recently released a brand-new Kirkwood dive watch.

The watch features very long lugs that you can hardly see from Swiss brands and a well-constructed rotating diver's bezel. And the case, sized at 44mm, is available in steel with rose gold ion plating and normal steel. And the rose gold plated version has brown dial with wave pattern, and steel version has blue, black or silver dial. And on the dial, there is a porthole at 12 o'clock which subtly includes the bland logo and reveals part of the finely decorated Swiss automatic Sellita SW 200 movement (Same at ETA 2824-2). And the hour markers are large, thick and fully luminous, making the reading extremely adorable. Protecting the dial is the sapphire crystal. And the watch is water resistant to 100 meters.

The strap feels like rubber, but it is actually made from polyurethane. And the watch also comes with a steel bracelet option. As far as I know of, the Bulova Accutron Kirkwood dive watch will be available in the holiday season. And the price range is likely to be be in the ,000 - ,300 range. So we are offered with a very handsome dive watch that will not break the bank.

The Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Stainless Steel Sport Watch has been perfected to suit both the professional man and the outdoorsman. This solar-powered Eco-Drive watch never needs a battery and remains charged for months at a time, even in the dark. Distinguished by handsome brown tones and chronograph technology, this watch's circular dial features three black subdials with sweeping hands over a chocolate-brown background. Textured with a grooved pattern, this background catches the light along with its overlaid frame of luminescent silver-tone bar hour markers and easy-to-read stick second markers. A large date window is perched at the four o'clock for at-a-glance reference, while the outermost dial is constructed with a tachymeter rim for computing speed (based on travel time) and distance (based on speed). This impressive dial is held by a silver-tone stainless steel case and bezel. And if you like to time short events, you'll be glad to note that the bezel is etched with Arabic second indexes in intervals of fifteen, as well as notched second markers along the first quarter-hour. A fine stainless steel band fastens this watch, offering quick, one-hand fastening, thanks to its fold-over-clasp-with-safety. Boasting a durable mineral window and the reliability of Japanese-quartz movement, this smart, distinctive timepiece is water resistant to 330 feet (100 M).
