Bulova is under the wing of the famous Citizen Group, and the Accutron is a sub-brand of the Bulova. And that is why you can see the "Bulova Accutron" on the watch dials. Japanese have a custom of the branding, and then sub-branding, which may confuse American and European who have different tradition in branding. Well, Accutron recently released a brand-new Kirkwood dive watch.
The watch features very long lugs that you can hardly see from Swiss brands and a well-constructed rotating diver's bezel. And the case, sized at 44mm, is available in steel with rose gold ion plating and normal steel. And the rose gold plated version has brown dial with wave pattern, and steel version has blue, black or silver dial. And on the dial, there is a porthole at 12 o'clock which subtly includes the bland logo and reveals part of the finely decorated Swiss automatic Sellita SW 200 movement (Same at ETA 2824-2). And the hour markers are large, thick and fully luminous, making the reading extremely adorable. Protecting the dial is the sapphire crystal. And the watch is water resistant to 100 meters.
The strap feels like rubber, but it is actually made from polyurethane. And the watch also comes with a steel bracelet option. As far as I know of, the Bulova Accutron Kirkwood dive watch will be available in the holiday season. And the price range is likely to be be in the ,000 - ,300 range. So we are offered with a very handsome dive watch that will not break the bank.
